Grove Estate, Hilltops, Tempranillo 2021

The Grove Estate Vineyard is the oldest continuously owned family vineyard in the Hilltops, originally planted to vines and cherries in the 1860 Gold Rush by the Cunich family.  Brian and Suellen Mullany and partners then re-established the vineyard in the late 1900’s.  This family vineyard is now into its third generation.

The Aroma is soft velvety leather. Medium-bodied, light woody cedar notes, figs, and soft very well-balanced tannins. A wine that does not suck the cheeks out of you. It’s smooth, soft and well-balanced.

Food matches are Tapas, Spaghetti Bolognese, and my Brian’s favourite, Steak Sandwich with the lot (definitely Pineapple).
