Grove Estate charges a venue hire fee for the private use of our spaces. This fee covers the costs of opening, staffing, and facilities. Pricing varies depending on the season (peak vs. off-peak), date, day, event duration, guest numbers, and the nature of your celebration.

Venue hire typically ranges from $500 – $3,000. Please contact us via the form below to receive a tailored quote for your event.

For private events, the venue or space with existing set-up is included. We welcome alternative venue arrangements for a fee.

Additional barrel hire: $10 each

Remove or add tables: $15 each

Chairs (150 available): $2 each

Brazier fire-pits: $50 each

You are welcome to style the venue as you wish with decorations, subject to approval. Please let us know what your plans are well in advance.

Confetti is not permitted.

BYO Beverages

BYO beverages are not permitted — this includes all alcoholic and non-alcoholic
drinks (such as tea and coffee), with the sole exception of still water. In
special circumstances, Grove Estate may approve a small quantity of regulated
BYO beverages for a fee. Tea and coffee service must be provided through our
in-house offerings, as food and beverage service is our core focus.

BYO Food

BYO food or external caterers may be permitted under certain circumstances for a flat rate or per person fee. External caterers must be licensed and approved
by Grove Estate.

Grove Estate accepts no responsibility or financial liability for the delivery of food services from external catering companies. If required, Grove Estate may provide front-of-house services for a fee, provided this is formally agreed to and arranged in writing.

Payments & Confirmations

• Group wine tasting and BYO food charges must be paid in a single transaction.

• Guest numbers for BYO food arrangements must be confirmed at least 48 hours prior, with payment made in one transaction.

• Menu selections for internal catering packages must be confirmed at least 14 days before your event. Once confirmed, catering will be charged in full and is non-refundable.

Menus

Grove Estate’s food and beverage menus are subject to change. We reserve the
right to amend menus at any time, including adjustments to pricing. Clients are liable for the menu pricing applicable at the time of their event.

For private events, you’re welcome to play a Spotify playlist through our speaker system or bring your own speakers.

Please note that our in-house system isn’t designed for continuous guest control, so playlists will need to run as they are.

You’re also welcome to arrange live music or a DJ for your event. If you’d like recommendations, we have a list of trusted musicians and DJs available.

By confirming your event reservation with us, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions outlined here.

To secure a booking, you must pay any agreed deposit. Once paid, the deposit is
not refundable under any circumstance. If the deposit is not paid by the invoice due date, Grove Estate reserves the right to cancel the booking.

Our pricing may increase. Clients are liable for the prices that are applicable at the time of the event.

Grove Estate reserves the right to change it’s packages and increase pricing in line with inflation of associated cost and other business needs.

Final guest numbers, package and menu selections, dietary requirements and event details must be finalised 14 days prior to the event.

Reduction to guests numbers or package downgrades will not be refunded after 14 days out.

Additional consultation & administration charges may apply to any event changes that occur after this period.

Depending on the size and nature of your event, milestone payments may be required. Our standard schedule is:

• 30% due 6 months prior
• 30% due 3 months prior
• Balance due 14 days before the event

For bookings made within these timeframes, the payments due up to that point will be required at the time of booking.

If the event is cancelled by the client, funds paid are not refundable under any circumstances. If the event cannot proceed due to government restrictions, illness, or any other reason, paid funds can be reallocated towards another event rescheduled within 6 months of the original booking.

The clients are financially responsible for any damages or losses to Grove Estate’s property (including glassware) that are caused by the client, their guests or vendors. Fees will be accordingly charged to the client's card on file for lost, stolen or damaged property.

Grove Estate is not responsible
for any damages or losses to property that is brought by the clients, their guests or vendors.

Grove Estate may require external security for certain events. If security is deemed necessary, the cost will be invoiced to the client at cost price. Security requirements are usually confirmed at the time of booking; however, Grove Estate reserves the right to engage external security at any stage, at the client’s expense, if management considers it necessary.

Events held on public holidays will incur a 10% surcharge on all goods, services and fees.

Clients and their guests must comply to all
applicable laws and Grove Estate policies such as House Policy, RSA and closure times. Failure to do so may result in event cancellation, removal from premises or surcharges to client.

Children and under 18s are absolutely welcome! As Grove Estate is a licenced venue, please ensure children are supervised by their legal parent or guardian.
