Grove Estate, Think Outside The Circle, Innocence Viognier 2022

The Grove Estate vineyard is the oldest continuously owned family owned vineyard in the Hilltops, originally planted to Vines and Cherries in the 1860 Gold Rush by the Cunich family. Brian and Suellen Mullany and partners then re-established the vineyard in the late 1900’s. The Cellar Door building is one of the original huts used by the pickers and is a living semblance of those times.

Our Viognier is a true expression of craftsmanship, hand-harvested from our vineyard near Wombat. This particular style was picked slightly earlier than the fruit we typically co-ferment with Shiraz, preserving its bright, zesty freshness. The palate offers a beautifully layered experience, sitting somewhere between the richness of Chardonnay and the crisp vibrancy of Semillon.

As an unfiltered wine, it retains its full character and texture, delivering an authentic and expressive drinking experience. Bold yet elegant, it showcases the purity of the fruit and the unique terroir of our vineyard.
