As Grove Estate celebrates 20 years as the leading vineyard and brand in the Hilltops region, more accolades for two of its red wines is further proof of the growing stature of the label and the region.
Grove Estate 'Sommita' Nebbiolo 2007 recently took out 'Best Young Red - Other Varieties' at the 2009 NSW Wine Awards.
The 2007 'Sommita' Nebbiolo is a multi-award winning wine that has previously won Gold at the 2009 Winewise Small Vignerons Awards, Gold at the 2009 Sydney International Wine Show, Silver at the 2008 Alternative Varietals Wine Show and Bronze at the 2008 Murrumbateman Cool Climate Wine Show.
This fine drop was produced by winemaker Richard Parker and viticulturalist Brian Mullany.
While the Nebbiolo continues to gain acclaim, the increasingly well regarded 2006 Cellar Block Shiraz Viognier also continues to collect rave reviews and accolades.
The wine won a highly coveted Gold medal at the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards in London in May 2008 and was awarded the Top Gold in its class at the 2007 Royal Adelaide Wine Show. The wine has also been showered with praise by Australia's most respected wine critics.
